Would this network suit you?

Six questions, about two minutes. No details needed to see the result. Answer honestly or the result is useless — I built this to filter, not to sell.

Who this is for

I am looking for one particular kind of person

You run a business that genuinely delivers. Past clients come back, past clients send people your way — but some months yes, some months no, and none of it is under your control.

You know you do better work than plenty of outfits running loud advertising. A stranger has no way of knowing that, and you are not sure how to make them believe it on a first meeting.

In front of your staff and your clients, you are the steady one. But some mornings you do not know where this month’s work is coming from — and that is not a question you can ask around, because asking makes you look weak.

If that sounds like you, this may fit. Not because there is anything magic about it — but because every Wednesday morning you sit with 33 business owners in exactly that position, and some of them sell to the same customers you do.

If you are looking for somewhere to sell to the members, or you need customers this month, I will say it plainly: it is not a fit. The six questions below will tell you more than I can.

Step 1 — Six questions

0/7
1.How established is your business?

The network refers clients to a working business. At the idea stage there is nothing yet to receive a referral.

2.Can you attend 6:45 AM every Wednesday, in District 1?

This is a requirement, not an option — and I give the exact time and place so you can picture it honestly. Many join and quit purely over the schedule, so I ask this up front.

3.Are you ready to give referrals before you get any?

Anyone joining with "I need clients now" tends to be disappointed. The mechanism only works if you give first.

4.How long are you thinking of staying?

Results usually take 6–12 months, because the network needs time to understand and trust you. Trying it for a few sessions almost never works.

5.Do you have capacity for more clients?

Taking a referral and delivering poorly because you are overloaded is the fastest way to lose credibility — yours and your referrer’s.

6.Are you comfortable being checked out?

Before adding anyone to my referral list, I review their legal documents and call their past customers. Not to pry — because I put my own name behind it.

7.Have you ever turned down work because you knew you could not do it well, or because the client did not really need what you sell?

In a referral network, someone who takes work beyond their ability and does it badly does not only damage their own name — they embarrass whoever referred them. I ask this because it is the hardest thing to fake, and the thing I look for most.

Step 2 — Your result

7 more to go.

This tool is simply how I screen before inviting someone to visit. It is not the official admission process — membership decisions rest with the chapter’s committee.

You can still book a visit whatever the result — I just want you to know what you are stepping into.
